Contestant Madison Curbelo made the country-pop duo proud during the NBC singing competition's semifinals round Monday night. The Massachusetts vocalist captivated with a heartwarming rendition of the Cyndi Lauper ballad "Time After Time."
"I was blown away," coach Chance the Rapper said. "Every time you perform is something special. You just have such a unique tone and your own style that you put into all of these songs."
Curbelo also earned praise from Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay, who gushed that it's an "honor" to work with the 22-year-old. "You just keep getting better and better," he said. "Everyone is rooting for you on this show. You’re so good."

John Legend says Nathan Chester belongs in 'The Voice' finale
Team Legend singer Nathan Chester, who's made a splash with his retro-inspired soul pop and high-energy performances, brought the house down with an electrifying performance of "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding.
Chester wowed with his bellowing vocals and dancefloor-ready stage moves, earning a standing ovation from coach John Legend and a chorus of chants from the studio audience.
"Only thing that was missing was the splits," Legend joked, referencing Chester's performance from last week. "That was incredible the journey us you took us on, the performance from beginning to end. You showed every side of your voice, your skill as a performer."
Legend added: "America, you know what to do. We got to see him in the finale."
Bryan Olesen shows off vulnerable side with Phil Collins cover
Having proven his rock ‘n’ roll showmanship with an exhilarating Queen cover last week, Team Legend's Bryan Olesen slowed things down with an emotional performance of "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" by Phil Collins.
The Nebraska rocker's vulnerable 180 impressed Legend, who called Olesen's performance "beautiful."
"We all loved it," Legend said. "I really felt you connecting to the lyric of the song. … It was just what you needed to do."
